We've gotten a bit of everything today but not much of any one thing. A bit of snow, sleet and ice. They are totally unsure what tonight and tomorrow will bring. Well above freezing for part of tomorrow but this is one of those "timing is everything" storms. No idea if we'll have a delay or school will be closed tomorrow. Time will tell but nothing posted yet.

I'd heard Queensland was in for more bad weather this week. What a shame. :(

We didn't receive the brunt of this storm but did wake to ice covered trees. It's a toasty 36 deg. F (it'll drop this afternoon).

Glad you escaped the worst, Jessie. But brrrrr shiver me timbers 36 deg.F......!

North Queensland cyclone not as devastating as anticipated, so that's good news.

Glad to hear the cyclone not as bad as anticipated.
Today we go from that storm to beautiful sunny weather but a low of 14. This is one reason weather fascinates me. From the bleak one day to the beautiful the next.

Jessie, funny you should word it that way ie 'from the bleak one day to the beautiful the next'. Queensland's tourism slogan for years has been: 'Ah Queensland - beautiful one day, perfect the next.' You can imagine the ironic rephrasings that have been going the rounds in Australia of late (eg ah Queensland - flooded one day, flattened the next etc) - black humour, but hey, if it helps people get through...

Love it! I grew up in NJ which sits across from NY. A few years ago they ran a slogan contest and though not a winner, I felt this should've won: "NJ, The light at the end of the tunnel."

Meanwhile, we have another storm coming tonight into tomorrow and my school district is now adding on days to the end of the year.

Great slogan!

Reached 40 degrees C today (about 104 F) - have just returned from small local Flood Relief gig (Tumbleweed) at pub - air conditioning clapped out - what a sweatfest....!

Today feels like the first day of spring in Pennsylvania. What a difference a week or two makes.

I hope Grimsby is cheerier than its name sounds. :)

We're under a wind advisory since last night. Colder weather on the way but still expecting to stay a few degrees above freezing.

So today it might be a bit grim in Grimsby but hopefully, tomorrow, it will be cheery. ;) Stay warm. The winds continue here (gusts to 45) but our area in the mountains is known for its winds so nothing we're not used to anyway.

Jesse is a man's name; Jessie is a girl's. Unfortunately some parents from the current generation have messed that nice little system up.

No offense taken. Just wanted to have some fun. :)

From spring to wintry mix here. We're at around 40 but under a storm advisory from 7pm to 7am. So we shall see what the night holds....
