The "Cool Places" single has "Sports" on the B-side. The "Get Crazy" single has "Hot Shot" on the B-side performed by Malcolm McDowell. I guess "Sports" is pretty unknown amongst Sparks fans who only buy albums? Sports was originally going to be on "Sparks In Outer Space" but I read somewhere that it was replaced by "Lucky Me Lucky You" but I might be wrong? The UK "Cool Places" 7" single has both songs listed as being taken from the album "SIOS". I wonder why both Oglio Records & Oasis Records didn't include Sports when they re-released "SIOS" on CD? Those Mysteries? Another great Sparks song which I guess we will never hear on CD until they release maybe HELL COLLECTION 2?

Although I don't know where it went! There were actually several Sparks rarities in the heyday of AudioGalaxy, but that's all gone now... =(

This is indeed the ultimate reference source for all Sparks matters (official fan-club notwithstanding).

Even though I have both the Get Crazy single (picture sleeve) and the Cool Places/Sports single (picture sleeve) in my collection, they are gathering dust in a cupboard somewhere - as are all of my vinyl records.

Hence my confusion in mistakingly believing that Sports is on the B-side of Get Crazy. As Simon has pointed out this is not the case and I apologise for any misunderstanding.

Ron Playing

I have this song as the b-side of 'Cool Places'. It hasn't surfaced on any CD compilations as far as I know.

I like this song, it has a nice cheesy organ riff and a good beat for you to do your aerobic exercises to. It's rather straight-faced in the lyrics department, rather bereft of the usual cynical wit but it's still a song that quickly etches itself into your subconscious after a few listens.

I'm shy to listen to this song, like I'm shy to listen to pop by likes of Bryan Adams or Sheryl Crow or whoever there is alike.

I have the 12" of "Cool Places" and although "Sports" is listed as the B-side it is actually "Cool Places" again! I think I have a collectors item!!

An ok song but as they had to leave a song off In Outer Space that was the right choice.

I love "Cool Places". Most of their songs were ahead of its time, huh? They are making me happy.
