I am escaping the last evening of my husband’s family reunion to write a few words about Haarlem on my phone (not a good idea). I just want to say that Sparks and band sounded amazing. Truly wonderful. I won’t talk about the setlist here, but I was happy to have sheltered myself from it until this show. At one point, Russell started to introduce a song when Ron slowly rose from his seat, shuffled over to Russell, and showed him the setlist. Russell, blind as a bat, squinted at the list and then made adorable excuses for his mistake. I’ll write more about the personalized Sparks baseball jerseys tomorrow. It was a brilliant maneuver by two mega Sparks fans. I was lucky to be with one of them. Peter von Wiesbaden or whatever you are called at the moment, get in touch. Tschüss!
