Gratuitous Sax & Senseless Violins is the first release in The Collection. As the rights to some of the other Sparks’ records revert back from various record labels, The Collection will gradually unfold.
The tracklisting is as per the original release, with new artwork and sleeve notes written by Daryl Easlea

Pardon my ignorance, but this is the first I've heard of these reissues. So Gratuitous Sax is only available through this site? Will it eventually be more widely distributed? Are they going to be remastered? Will any of them have bonus tracks? What is the time frame of the re-releases?
Thanks |

Deerneb:
Good questions - but I have some more to add:
Will ALL releases in ALL countries be going out of print
eventually as well??
Will 'Introducing' be a part of this new series??
Too bad that Oglio or Wounded Bird didn't do this one -
I wonder why??

Good to see this has been re-issued.
I hope 'Introducing Sparks' will be next (I'm not holding my breathe though!). |

When I heard Wounded Bird released "Sparks" and "A woofer" I asked them as well to release "Introducing". They would do their best.
Now I've seen the rereleases of "Sparks" and "A woofer" on Wounded Bird I hope they are not the label that releases "Introducing" because I don't think they did a good job on the rereleases of "Sparks" and "A woofer". The packaging is cheap and the lyrics where missing. I prefer the German releases on "Repertoire" from 1990, they did a much better job. |

I'm not choosy. As long as the soundquality is good i buy it, if it's an official and legal release. I really miss INTRODUCING the most. Third or forth album i every bought of Sparks after Tweeter and No1. and before Kimono. _________________ "Somebody's been putting pineapple juice in my pineapple juice!"
