Very glad to hear of something special for the French crowd, who are so praiseworthy in being positive and passionate for Sparks. |

I'll be there. Probably the last chance we'll get to see 2H1M in Europe :(
Really really really hope they'll do an in-store appearance somewhere. Would love to meet R&R in person and thank them for their awesome music (and of course sign something :)) |

Also: hoping for some changes to the setlist. I hope they'll do Angst In My Pants, plus I still haven't seen Change live :( |

Ron has said in interviews that it didn't work as a stripped down song. I think something about the beat didn't transfer right to piano. |

We were back in Holland around 4:00 AM. Another great show, though it felt a bit rushed to me. The show started at 8.30PM sharp and was done by 10PM. I'm sure no-one would've complained if they'd included Hospitality On Parade and Good Morning. Was it just me though, or was Angst In My Pants a bit of a mash-up with the Good Morning piano-riff? Sounded very similar!
Setlist was the usual one they've played the last half year or so, except that Singing In The Shower was moved to the encore due to the guest-appearance by Catherine Ringer, which was a great fun moment :)
Sparks Overture
The Rhythm Thief
Metaphor
Propaganda
At Home, At Work, At Play
Sherlock Holmes
Angst in My Pants
Under the Table With Her
My Baby's Taking Me Home
The Wedding of Jacqueline Kennedy to Russell Mael
Excerpts from The Seduction Of Ingmar Bergman
Dick Around
Never Turn Your Back on Mother Earth
This Town Ain't Big Enough for Both of Us
Suburban Homeboy
When Do I Get to Sing "My Way"
Singing In The Shower
The Number One Song in Heaven
Beat the Clock
Two Hands, One Mouth |

Would've loved to have been there, especially to see Catherine Ringer join R&R for Singing in the Shower, which sounds great in the two hands format. R&R clearly have an affection for France, and would've felt honoured by her special appearance.
When Sparks gave an astoundingly good performance of Interior Design during 21x21, they dedicated it in memory of Fred Chichin, Catherine's partner in Les Rita Mitsouko. |
